Advicenators discussion: After only 2 years since I bought it...

Alin75 wrote Friday June 19 2009, 1:08 pm:
I finally got my act together and passed the ISSA certification course that was gathering dust on my shelf. As of a few minutes ago I am a licensed personal trainer :D

The one thing that remains a constant in my life is that I can only get my act together to do anything JUST before the deadline... whether that is 2 hours or 2 years.

Just like university lol... brings back memories

Good for you, Al. Glad to hear you completed everything. I wonder if the test is the same as when I took it or what lol.

You know what this means....you now have to become AlinCFT ;-)

Well, if you still have your test, one easy way to check is with the stats on the case studies (which I assume you had 2 of). My first "client" was a 55 year old golf player called Chad, and my second was a 14 year old junk- eating wrestler called Chris.

They were incredibly efficient btw. You can now take the test online, so I clicked send in the morning (middle of the night in the US), which meant they got it at the start of the work day... I had my result within about 4 hours after that.

As for the name change, it does sound a lot cooler than Alin75, but I am a bit afraid of getting all the thigh fat questions lol.

Chris Doubleday? LOL

SAME case studies as when I took mine 3 years ago.

Be prepared for lots of those thigh questions, internet and in your everyday life lol.

Yeah lol, good thing I got more than my share of practice with those kinds of questions on here over the last few years.

In fairness to ISSA, my exam is 2 years old now too... so they probably came up with some new cases since (I would hope) :)

By the way Mike, are you still competing as a body builder? I remember a couple of years back you were talking about competitions and stuff, but you haven't mentioned anything since...

I'm not lifting as serious as I used to, get a little older, a little less hardcore....smarter I hope lol.

I occasionally go real heavy now, but it's just maintaining mostly. My bones don't feel the same way as they used to, to be honest lol.

Fair enough Mike... though if your bones don't feel tip top, I should really have crumbled to dust by now :D

I am actually doing a fair amount of maintenance myself these days. Been having some issues with my knees and shoulder joints, the former mainly due to soccer but the latter definitely from the weights. So yeah, got to love age :)
