Wattpad: how to get reads, followers, etc

Question Posted Saturday July 16 2016, 10:25 am

I'm new on wattpad and I can't even get ONE person to so much as know my story exsists! This is fucking annoying me. I don't care if I don't get thousands of followers, but can I at least have, idk, 50? Even that seems impossible. How do you get noticed? It's not fucking fair!

Please consider writing this again, in a civil manner. Cussing at people you expect to help you is frequently a bad way to find help. :-(

As for wattpad, it is a closed system. People from outside wattpad neither know, nor care about anyone or anything written withing the site. Try googling yoru wattpad username and the word wattpad for a better understanding of what I mean.

Perhaps the best way to be seen, is to write in a public forum, perhaps your own blog, that can be found and accessed by anyone.

Most importantly, ask yourself one question: "Why would anyone follow me?"

If you wouldn't follow you, why would you expect others to? What I mean by this is simply: Write spectacular work, and people will follow you without you screaming the f-word on an advice site. ;-)

All the best.

While you are welcome to write questions here, please be kind to others when you do so.

Thank you,

DN.
