I am working toward admission to a teaching credential program for elementary education in California (multiple subjects credential). For those familiar with the exams, I have to pass all three subtests of the CSET multiple subjects exam, and the CBEST basic skills exam. I just took the math/science subtest on the CSET multiple subjects (subtest 2). There were 52 multiple choice questions, and 4 constructed response (short response)--the scaled score is from 100 to 300 and a minimum score of 220 is required to pass. I know I'd need to obtain roughly 70% of all available points to pass. I think I did ok on multiple choice, but on constructed response, I am almost certain I did not do well--I probably got something like 50% on that section. So if I did okay-ish on multiple choice (worth 70% of exam) but did poorly on constructed response (worth 30% of exam), do I still have a chance of passing?
