All the ways to promote hair growth?

Question Posted Thursday October 8 2015, 5:43 pm

im already doing the inversion method for 7 days........ And using warm olive oil and massaging it into my scalp for a bit........ And drying my hair with a t shirt instead of a towel....... And not blow drying or curling it or straightening it....... And putting my hair into a silky shower cap at night........ And using mane n tail shampoo and conditioner (I know that doesn't make your hair grow btw. It makes your hair strong and healthy so it can grow faster)........... And keeping a bristled headband in my hair........... And brushing it gently every morning, afternoon and night........... And I'm going to start taking vitamins......... What else is there?! Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Try cowashing which means just using shampoo and not conditioner. A lot of times shampoos have harsh sulfates in them that damage the hair. Try to do low maintenance hairstyles so that you can leave your hair alone and just let it breathe. It sounds like you're doing all the right things other then the things I listed. Some people's hair just take longer to grow. Don't worry, length isn't everything :)

Hi there. You seem to be doing plenty to your actual hair. Much can be done to promote hair growth through diet. See you mention vitamin supplements? Before you buy pills and preparations have a think about how you could do it more naturally (and enjoyably!) through diet. These foods will promote stronger, more rapid hair growth. Oily fish (especially salmon, tuna is quite good, but fish like cod don't store oil in their flesh, they store it in their liver, so choose the right fish). You're getting protein, omega-3 and vitamin D from the oily fish, but don't let the term 'oily' suggest greasy and unpleasant, there's noting greasy about a beautiful bit of fresh salmon! Vitamin C is good, so obviously oranges and pure orange juice to drink are winners. (But soft drinks marked 'orange flavour' are no use, it has to be pure fresh orange juice. If you have a juicer, squeeze your own!). Oddly, yellow bell peppers contain huge amounts of vitamin C, so they're a good bet. More good foods are oysters (bit expensive, but delicious). Plain old eggs promote hair growth. So do sunflower seed, sweet potato, avocado and almonds. Now I reckon you could put together some classy and delicious meals incorporating these ingredients, don't you? And your general condition/health will certainly feel the benefits of eating stuff like this, rather than processed and 'junk' food. Why eat suff that lacks real nutrition and benefit and make up for the loss with pills when there are such lovely foods that have all you need built in? The look of your hair is usually a great indicator of your general condition. Eat your way to strong, healthy and glossy hair that looks good because you ARE good!
