what causes synethesia
I have Sound-color smell-color mirror touch ordinal lingual personification and number and letter and month color pain-sound synethesia and wondering what caused it. No one in my family that I know has it, and until recently I didn't even know this was rare till I mentioned to my mom how red the number 1 was and we searched up. How?

Since this is a problem related to either brain development of pathway inter action you should be seeing and treated by a neurosurgeon and or a neurologist. A family practitioner is not trained to deal with this issue though can maintain a treatment plan the other doctors might order. In any case whatever questions you have your doctors should be answering for you. If they are not then you should consider finding new doctors who will both treat the problem and make sure you are knowledgeable of your condition and answer your questions.
The more you know about this particular problem the better and easier time you will have dealing with it. You might even consider asking your medical doctor if he or she knows of a psychologist who is familiar with this problem and can help you deal with it in therapy sessions.
