Hi.I got the computer virus that says it has e crypted all of your files and you gotta pay up.A technician is going to come check it out soon but i wanted to ask since i dont know anything about compuers.I have a hard disk,all of my photos are on it,will those files be encrypted too? those photos are my life please help me i am freaking out.thank you.

Aquamarine answered Thursday May 14 2015, 7:36 pm: I'm not a computer expert, but it sounds live you got the virus randomware. The virus is thought to infiltrate your computer when you click on a legitimate looking attachment or through existing malware lurking on your hard drive, and once unleashed it instantly encrypts all your files, barring access to a single photo or tax receipt. Sadly, I heard there is no way to get rid of it, but to pay the ransom. :(
