Bad breath doesnt always come from your teeth, tongue or gums. More often I've found it to have something to do with diet, what a person has eaten recently or even going on a fast. When my husband fasts, his breath smells like a garbage can with old rotten food in it. Gross. But its part of the process and goes away again once he's back to eating. I have also noticed that people who have eaten garlic will have breath smelling bad to the other person but only if the other person has not eaten garlic that day. The trick is to either restrict eating foods with garlic until you both have a chance to eat it at the same time.
I have found cheese to have an effect on the breath of another person. there may be other things too. Having a mouth wash on hand is a good idea, just rinse with it and it should help. I dont like mouthwash in particular myself but have used baking soda too to kill any germs that might be causing odor. It works sometimes and other times it creates a new not so pleasant odor in my mouth, not bad but not good yet.
I wouldn't recommend this yet until you turn 21, but i have found rinsing my mouth with certain alcohols to make the breath not only smell good but a persons mouth to taste good, not like alcohol. I just rinse and spit out like using a mouth wash. Keep this in mind for the future as I like this method best but we dont always have our favorite alcohols at home. Hubby likes to drink tequila. I hate drinking it. But after he's taken a little drink, his breath smelling wonderful, almost fruity, like an ambrosia, and kisses taste good too. For now, mouth wash and strong mint gum will have to do for you.

Well for bad breath you can use baking soda, just put some on your tooth brush and brush properly, helps a lot with odour. You can also try adding lime or lemon juice (fresh lime I must say)to the baking soda just squeeze the lime juice on it and it would normally just bubble up on its own, just do that once a week and that should help ( dont appy it to yout tongue thou)

Hoped I helped
^__^
