As to the side effects, it will be the same as with any hormonal birth control. Not every person will have the same side effects and some will not have any at all. But most women do experience a couple at a minor level that they can live with. If its severe, then see a doctor and get a different dosage or try something different like the shot or an IUD. Heres a link to the actual side effects. They list 7, but there is one more....many women complain of weight gain, not a little but a lot and that can be caused by trigestrel or any hormonal based contraception. The only most popular non hormonal birth control methods I know of are Spermicide used with a Diaphragm or the copper IUD called Paragard.
