I feel alone. One of my best friends moved and the other(Megan)... Well in the beginning of the year she kinda drifted off to this sneaky evil girl, Sam. The other friend of Megan ,sarah, spends her time trying to chase them around . I have given up trying to be close friends with Megan ;Megan hung out with us but as soon as Sam showed up she took her away. the first girl moved, And now I don't have anyone. I tried to get sarah to stop chasing her but it's no use. I'm not good at making new friends, and I recently spent the last month reading in the library during recess. I don't want to go prom shopping by myself or spend recess alone or not have a bday party cause there is no one to invite. And before you say "join some clubs. It'll help u make friends." I already am but no one gets me. Any ideas????
Friends come and go. Being someone who is just about to exit high school, this is a fact. Yes I wish I was still close with some people but some people only cross paths once. It's slightly depressing, but there isn't much you can do. I wouldn't say move on from your friends yet, but prepare for the worst. (Not being close anymore)
I'm not very sure how to go about making friends because I make friends very easily but you need to be confident. Yes it is hard, and yes it takes practice. Join in on conversations even if for the first while you're just listening. Maybe the next time add to it. Add people from the clubs on a social network site, get their number and one day ask if they would like to do something outside of school.
As for prom,go with your mom! A lot of people do, popular kids even. Moms usually give the best input anyway. And don't worry about a birthday party yet. You have many more to come and by your next once hopefully you will have a group of new friends!
