Job for a Small Town Girl Okay, I'm a girl and I just turned 15 last month, and I am starting to look around for a first job. But I live in a really small town and their aren't many options.
The only places we have are a few little restaurants, a gas station and two grocery stores.
The thing is, I'm really shy and I get nervous around people I don't know really well. And when I'm nervous or flustered, it's like my brain shuts off and I can't think straight, I do/say really stupid things, cant remember stuff right and I don't seem to understand instructions correctly. I was thinking of babysitting, but I don't want to go to some strangers house or anything like that.
I'm willing to try anything that's not involving math, hard physical labor(I'm really weak), or to much social interaction.
I eventually want to get over my fear of people and hopefully earn some money so I can go to college, buy a car, ect.
Any advice you have is greatly appreciated.

You're 15 and you're still young. It's cool that you are thinking about getting a job, but since you're shy, you may have a smaller chance of getting hired when you get interviewed. I suggest you look for some outside experience, such as internships and volunteering. With volunteering, you can learn to be more sociable, meet new people, and have a fun time. Interning is a good way to discover talents, strengths, and weaknesses. You're only 15...getting a job at this age isn't that important yet. ]
