is it safe to feed your dog this food now? the recall thing was a while ago and my dog really loves the nutro or innova food we used to feed her, but if it is still risky i don't want to hurt her. how do you know when it is safe to go back after a recall or do you just never use them again?

Never2bAlone answered Thursday February 27 2014, 10:51 pm: The store you purchased the food from should be aware of the recall. I would call them and ask if the product was purchased after the recall. However, if I were you I would not use it for awhile to be on the safe side. You also need to look on the shelves. If there is a lot on the shelves I would be leary. You may also want to go to a pet supply store rather than a grocery store or Walmart. A pet supply store is more likely to rectify situations sd this because pet supplies are their whole business. They aren't going to want a bad reputation on the very thing they sale where as a grocery store is less likely because their business is groceries. I hope this helps. Be careful and good luck.
