Question Posted Thursday September 19 2013, 4:46 am
For the past ten years I've had to live with the feeling of a broken heart. I hate it. I've tried getting help, medication, etc. Nothing works. I'm tired of the pain. It's all I know anymore. I can't remeber what it feels like to be happy. So what sm I supposed to do?

A broken heart, is hard to deal with, we all go through them, but we have to do our best to move on from what ever bad things life throws at us. I know ten years is a long time to be in pain, but to harm yourself is not the answer. I believe you can move on from the pain and be happy. There are people in this world that love you, who care about you, and to end your life in such a way, just isn't the answer. You need to keep fighting for your life, keep getting help, medication, etc. I know it feels as if nothing will help no matter what you do, but life is a struggle, maybe more for some of us. But no matter how bad life can be, you are worth still having on this very planet, you still have a chance to live a happy life. Please don't give up on yourself, keep fighting, stay strong, and keep seeking help. I would suggest therapy and self esteem classes. Try talking to people around you about how you feel, there is also a hotline in the US, at 1800-273-TALK. Where you can talk to someone about your problem the line is open 24/7, 7 days a week. If you don't live in the US, there are other hotlines around the world you can look up. I am also here to listen and be here for support. [ Rene5009's advice column | Ask Rene5009 A Question ]
