What happens during orientation for college students?
Question Posted Friday August 16 2013, 10:48 pm
I'm a freshman & I have no idea of what's going to happen during orientation. I already know what class I'm taking. What happens? Do I need to bring anything?

You will get acclimated to your school, and be guided by older students or alumni that can answer any questions you have. You're going to have a blast! Theres a ton of food and usually the mascot is there to take a picture with! you will probably get your student id foo. I also know that at mine, I got a school folder, pen, and some really cool free goody bags like a college backpack, a shirt, and some other small items.
You may go to meetings where they ask you to fill out some forms for the health office or permission forms for them to release personal information to your parents or guardians. Also at my orientation I had to take a survey. That's about it. Enjoy your orientation, you only get one! Hope it goes well :-) [ xosodapopx3's advice column | Ask xosodapopx3 A Question ]

So when you go to your orientation, be sure to socialize with different people -- it's beneficial because who would wanna be lonely on the first day of college.
It really depends on what college you're going to because each orientation is a little different. [ ieatjello's advice column | Ask ieatjello A Question ]
