back hangspring fear

Ok so my goal is by the end of june to have my back handspring on the ground. I reccently started tryig it on my trampoline and I can do it absolutly perfectly. Qhenever I do it on the ground though I freakout and have a fear of doing is. How can I overcone this? Help!

I think you need to just do it. You need to believe in yourself and just make your body do it. You don't want to regret not ever trying to do it later on so you need to stop saying you will later and just do it this very moment. Trust me (i'm a dancer/gymnast) you will be so happy and so proud of yourself after you do it, even if it ends up looking a mess. You will just be proud that you actually tried it. Also I recommend that you have someone else there when you try it just in case. I really hope you get it! Best of luck and I hope I helped.

Have somebody spot you so you don't fall & hurt yourself! Be sure that you start off with your knees bent & your arms are in the air, & they are strong with locked elbows. Once you're halfway through, keep your eyes looking for the ground, that will help a bit. Try starting off by jumping off a hill, once you feel comfortable to land that safely, then move to flat ground. But go in the grass or soft spots so you don't hurt yourself! Good luck, darling!
