hello "When she said the part about being happy that someone else was telling HER what to do, maybe just tell her "maybe it will remind your mom how it feels when she punishes you. I think if we let this go when she comes home, things might be a little different.
"
didn;'t fully get what you meant in this sentence. Can you explain? Thanks

Yea, no problem. I just meant that when she's saying that she's glad her mom is in jail because now someone is telling her what to do for once, it sounds like she feels like her mother is always bossing her around just to exert power over her rather than for a good reason. So if you tell her that her mom's visit to prison is the cops punishing her unfairly like she feels her mom is always doing to her, maybe she can grasp that her mom is "learning her lesson" and may start to second guess punishing her daughter when she may not have really done anything wrong. That way she might see her sentencing as more of a learning experience for her mom, rather than a bad thing that she should tease her about. Does that help? ]
