Getting to know this guy better
Hey, I'm a freshman in college looking to work on campus right now. So, since I want to work on campus, I've been hanging out with a lot of kids that work on campus at my college. There is this cute kid that just got hired at my building as a desk receptionist. Tonight, I was hanging out in the lobby because my friend was on duty. The cute kid was studying for an exam he has tomorrow but while I was down there, they were taking a break, dancing to some T-Swift. Every time the chorus came on, the cute kid would toss his water bottle at any random passerby. The second time he did it, it hit me so I looked at him and pointed my finger at him while I was smiling at him, I said "hey mister!" and tossed it back to him and he smiled really big. Then later, they were finished studying and he came over and stook next to me really close while I was talking at the desk with my friend. He wasn't really saying anything, just kinda listening.
Now, the whole gist of that was to give you some background and then to see how I can get to know this kid better. We don't really talk, just steal glances at each other and that kinda thing. Sometimes say hello when he's on duty and I'm walking up to my room.
So, what can I do to get to know him? Should I even get to know him, will it get me anywhere? Thanks.

So... yes I think you should try to get to know him better. Maybe you could try the more spontaneous approach and just straight ask him what his number is or there's a another way you could get to know him better which would be hanging out in the lobby and saying something like
"Hey, I think we should hang sometime." like you would say to a friend. Then if he says yes ask for his number so you can call him later and plan it. So it depends on the type of guy he is and the type of person you are. I hope this helped.
