What's going on? Is it just my paranoia?

Question Posted Friday February 22 2013, 1:13 am

13. EXTREMELY PARANOID.

So yesterday morning, I was sleeping and I was facing my wall (That means my door was behind me). I had a scared feeling that someone was there, then I felt a poke in my back and it scared me!

Then, last night, I was trying to sleep and I was in the same position. I then had the same feeling of someone behind me, then felt another poke.

Nobody was ever behind me. My door was shut both times and nobody was in my room ever. Do you think it's just the heebee jeebees? Because sometimes I'd be scared there's bugs on me and I'd just feel tingles on my leg or something and nothing was really there. Thanks!

THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!

Just a little differently. I slept on my stomach once and I closed my eyes. before I was just about to completely fall asleep I felt something on the middle of my back and it made my spin actually rise up so image this: Some yoga poses make you lay down on your stomach then push up with your arms while you feet are on the ground and so is everything below the waist.

I did that same exact pose. Except without my hands. And I went high. I was so scared. but I just went back to sleep. and sometimes I feel tingling on my legs but sometimes its hair or your blanket. Even your pajamas. And actually you feel tingling all the time, whether in bed or walking. It's sort of natural I guess.

I say it's a demon teasing us. I believe in demons as well as God. If you believe in God, you have to know that earth is the devils playground. I say when I'm scared or creeped out:

In Jesus name get out of here. You're not supposed to be here. Lord Christ please rid of these demons, from me, my family and my home.

I don't know, it's just my opinion. If you atheist or something else you don't have to do that, but if it comes to the breaking point you can try it.

Bye :) good luck.

We are not doctors and we should not be giving out medical advice. I Did some checking on "Hyperactive Agency Detection" and it appears to be more spiritual in nature. Which in and of itself is not a bad thing especially if you are the type of person who believes in sports such as ghost.

At night when you are a sleep you subconscious and your dreams make their way forward into to your conscious brain even though you are asleep. We have all had very vivid dreams at one time or another then when we wake up we have a hard time recalling them.

None of here are qualified to talk to you about what is happening other than to say this is nothing you should be overly concerned about.

What you should do is talk to mom or dad about these dreams for that is what I believe they are and the fact that they upset you. They can arrange for you to speak with a psychologist who can speak to you in total confidentiality, meaning nothing you say to the therapist goes back to mom and dad. There is something hidden most likely in you subconscious that are causing these nightmares. With the help of the therapist they can be drawn out and dealt with. Once you identify the problem and learn to deal with it the nightmares will go away.

What you are asking about is truly a problem for mom and dad to deal with by getting you the proper help. We, meaning none of us, have the educational background to help you with this.

It's all your head, but not in a bad way.

It's called Hyperactive Agency Detection and it's well-understood cognitive behavior that it goes something like this:

When we were a young species, living on the plains or in caves, it was safer for our brains to assume that everything we heard in the dark as a threat. If the wind suddenly blew, or the grass rustled, or there was a change in air pressure, or a shifting shadow, rather than our brains thinking "Oh, that was just the wind." our brains kept us safe by always assuming that it was a threat (just in case of that one or two times when it wasn't the wind).

So even today, when something like that happens, our brains scream "Run! It's a wolf! It's going to eat you!" Even though our conscious minds know that's insane it's just hardwired into us to think this way and to assume what we heard was due to an intelligence agent (a person or animal or force) that wants to harm us.

You can read more about it here:
the [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

So it's totally normal, and you can't really stop it. You can just remind yourself that it really IS your mind playing tricks on you - Tricks that used to help keep you alive and now just keep you up at night.

Edit:
Adviceman is incorrect.
Agency Detection is not spirituality at all. It is pretty much the exact opposite of spiritual: It is a cognitive theory (that is, a scientific explanation of how the brain behaves) that is often brought up to help explain why people all around the world are prone to believe in things like ghosts or spirits. It is well accepted by psychologists that human beings and many other animals have this innate agency detection behavior and bias towards assuming hidden agency.
