parakeets giving birth?
So I just got 4 parakeets and I realized one of them laid eggs. She did so about 3 weeks ago and now she laid 2 more. So there are 5 in total. They haven't hatched butbshe keeps going inside the nest and warming them up. Do any of u guys know how long it takes an egg to hatch? Also I seperated the male parakeets from the female one so they dont try to go inside the nest. But she's sort of sad and misses her friends. Because when I put both cages together they all get near her cage and call her our and she comes out and they all make alotbof noise as if happy. O dont know anything about parakeets giving birth so of anyone does advice is greatly appreciated! Thankyou!! Also please dont say to go to a vet because my mom doesn't want to spend money on birds since they're mine and I honestly dont have a great job right now to even take them.

Parakeet eggs hatch in about 18 days after incubation starts, which starts after the 2nd egg is laid. If they don't hatch in 18 days, the eggs are infertile- remove them from the cage and throw them out.

Well on this Is a great ? for me Well it can take 2 to 3 weeks or more or less Just keep a eye on theme Make sure they stay healthy for when they hach and make sure u got lots of room and birds that lay eggs can lay up to 5 to 7 egges in a week so becarefull if they are not fertiliezed they may not be hachible
there like any other eggs like checkens u need the male to fertilize theme
