How to fix chipped paint on a 3DS

Question Posted Saturday January 12 2013, 1:47 am

13/f hi my sister just got a 3DS for Christmas and she dropped it two days ago and the paint has chipped on the corner. How can I fix this and will it be covered by the warranty?

It should be covered by warranty, but I did some research in forums on Google, and a couple of people said the paint was peeling off of theirs, one black one blue, and they sent them in to be repaired, but Nintendo didn't fix the paint job.
DO call Nintendo's customer support number and ask before trying anything else.

I did find a site that may interest you. They sell skins for all sorts of devices, including Nintendo 3DS. Maybe a skin would make it look jazzy to you again?

Or maybe go to a store that sells auto paint and try to match your 3DS to one of those small jars of touch-up paint. (I think you can even get this paint at Walmart) A little dad'l do ya. You have to take care not to get it on too thick or it will ugly up that spot.
