So this is a pretty strange question, but I have this weird craving for bird gravol. I have a budgie, and he has this bird gravol that basically helps him digest his food and stuff.
So one time my sister made me eat it as a dare, but I didn't think it tasted bad, good actually. It has this rock, sand, mineraly taste. I don't chew it because it's so gritty, I just let it get moist on my tongue and swallow. I've eaten it a few times, sometimes everyday for a week or so. (I've made sure to check it doesn't contain anything harmful)
So why do I have this weird craving for this? Sometimes it's like my daily vitamin. I love the sandy, rocky, mineral taste so much, but why?

Rena-Chan answered Friday December 28 2012, 8:45 am: Many people have strange cravings. I've heard of people needing to eat dirt. From what I've heard it could be due to a certain or several vitamins you aren't getting enough of. If anything, speak with your doctor about this and see what may be the real cause. Heck, for all you know, it could just be something you like. *I've seen weirder cravings in people* But really, if you think about it, it's no different than how other's prefer one type of sustenance to another. Some people LOVE one type of food, while others find it appalling. Perhaps you just have a different pallet than others. But it never hurts to ensure you are getting all the required vitamins and minerals in your diet, so a trip to the doctor wouldn't be so bad. If it turns out you're fine, then you just have a different preference in foods. [ Rena-Chan's advice column | Ask Rena-Chan A Question ]
