I think you shouldn't listen to those annoying "listen to them" crap. I actually am in that situation right now (literally I'm sitting on my bed with my mom and sister talking and saying, "why can't you be more responsible." And stuff) well first tell them off. Try not to be mean or say "shut up I'm right." And blah blah blah. Because that right there is crossing the line.

Try stating your point. Not talking back. But defending your opinion. You need to talk to them and you need to let them know that their not perfect too, they've made mistakes and you know what you did wrong (if youdid anything wrong.) if you want them to listen ask them to listen. "Mom, dad, can we talk? I want this to be a one way convosation where I talk you listen, and then once I'm finished yoy carry on."

Or write them a letter, than they won't be able to say anything to you until they see you. Last resort is going to a councilor and asking for help. Tell them that your dealing with parent trouble and they won't listen to you. You should be heard because your todays generation! Yes you should have respect for them because they brought you into this world any how but they should respect you aswell because your their daughter.

So what your supposed to be responsible! Your only 12! 7th grade! Im 13 8th and I'm not responsible. I mean why an't I have fun and do the dished only on wednsdays and tuesdays? Why can't I wait to clean my room till after I'm finished watching this show? What's wrong with eating dinner after seven?!?! Sometimes rules are meant to be broken and sometimes they're not. It's up to you to find out whether it is.

The risks are to be taken to let your parents know where you stand. Just never lose their trust.

Good luck.
