I said: "I Love You" ... but I didn't mean it.
Long story short...
Been dating a guy since September. Made it "official" the beginning of this month. After a few beers tonight, we were in his bed and he told me he loved me. I know it wasn't to get laid because that happened before we were even dating. So i'm thinking it was mostly because of the alcohol tonight. I did say it back, i think i messed up there because I do like him a lot but not on that level. I am about to sound dumb as hell for asking this but What could I say to apologize for not meaning it?

Well I disagree with the person who gave the advice to not say anything. I believe that you should tell him the truth because if he finds out later that you really didn't mean it, its going to hurt him more. To put in better terms, say if yall switch positions and you was in his shoes.... Wouldn't want to know that he didn't mean it instead of being lied to...?? If you really want that relationship to work, being honest with him and yourself is one of the key points to make your relationship sucessfull. (:

Do NOT Say you didn't mean it. That will hurt him more. Just keep it the way it is. because if you try to take it back. he will be very very hurt.
