Ive been in your exact same situation! What's best is to ask them a simple question about class or an assignment, then add something personal in it maybe about your favorite music type. The conversation will bloom on from there! But don't force the conversation, just stop and leave when necessary so he will want to talk to you more later on

I think all of us have gone through feeling nervous with guys who we like. The question is how to start a conversation with them. You can have a casual conversation about class and talk about school like you can say do you like your classes? Who's your favorite teacher? Just have a casual conversation.
