Paranoid

Hi Melwillhelpyou,
I admire the advice you give on here, you seem to be a very calming, logical, and insightful person which is why I am inboxing you. I'm 20/f and my boyfriend and I have been having sex (using condoms every time of course). I think we have had sex about three times since my last period. I am always extremely careful and make sure after sex that the condom didn't break (for precaution and ease of mind) but I have not gotten my period yet (which I usually get very late September) and I can't help but be paranoid about possibly being pregnant, although in the back of my mind I am sure there is no way. Am I over reacting? I have been under a lot of stress lately so that could be the case but other than that I can only think of one other obvious reason why I would not have gotten it yet. Any opions on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Am I being over paranoid?

As for the question:
I suggest you go somewhere that you know will instantly calm you down, first and foremost. For what it sounds like your situation is, that is the most important thing to do first.

Like a spa, if that's your thing, yoga, maybe even (for ease of mind) go to the doctor and get an official pregnancy test. If you do that, you will know for sure whether you are pregnant or not. It is not good to be on edge about something constantly like that.

Is there, may I ask, a reason why you're so worried? Pregnancy is a big thing, but you're having sex with a guy, which to me is the biggest thing you could give to a man, (and i hope its because you are very close and open with each other) and you're this worried? Besides the obvious reasons (financial, emotional, etc.) what are you so scared of?

If possible, try to solve the thing that has been making you so stressed out. You haven't exactly specified, but I think whatever it is, it could be solved by communication or determination or motivation or a combination of those.
