Why do I keep gettting wet down there?

Question Posted Tuesday August 28 2012, 10:41 pm

Alright so Im 13/f and all the time even when Im not on my period my undies get really wet and sometimes clumps of like vaginal discharge appear. How can I stop this? I have a very irregular period and I want to be able to wear thongs and stuff but I cant knowing if I wear one the wetness will go to whatever Im wearing! Please help! It happens all the time.

Also, why am I so itchy down there? Like you know where your pubic hair is? Well Im itchy there all the time and its embarassing in public if I get itchy and have to keep calm until I find a restroom... Advice?

Every woman gets this. It's completely natural. Considering you are still in the process of puberty, it'll take some time before the wetness subsides. Have you considered panty liners? They can help in keeping your panties dry. Also, as for the itching, do you shave? If so, when the hair grows back, it does cause itching discomfort. If you don't shave, be sure to properly clean yourself. And just like any skin on your body, not too hot, or else it can cause dryness and itching. Though, the wetness can cause itching if left uncleaned or unattended. Kind of rashy itch feel. Panty liners.. I know I have said this, but panty liners can be your best friend, especially if you struggle with "unfreshness"
