Wives are funny people, not everything turns them off. If she understands this is a stress reliever for you she may be willing to incorporate your fetish into sex play or be willing to help you work out of this fetish.
Part of overcoming this fetish may be substitution. Substituting something she is more willing to accept that brings you the same stress release. If so it is important that she is with you and helping you through this.
