still have feelings for my ex but am rushing things with other guys
So i broke up with my 4 yr relationship who we also dated for a yr and a half in hs.
I broke up with him just recently because of all sorts of reasons, I lost trust with him, I had a feeling he was cheating on me, we fought all the time, it just wasn't healthy. So i got out before he asked my hand in marriage. I love him so much and he still tells me he loves me. I'm regretting losing him but I feel it was something that needed to be done.
Well, I moved on fast - i still love him and miss him so much - but I met some awesome guys. One gives me butterflies and knows how to give great advice and works 2 jobs and is a fire fighter- but he's 5 years older than me - almost 30 and has 3 kids. Then there's guy number two - he's going to Broadway because he's so talented and is offered many opportunities - I've known him for a while and i like him but he's 4 years younger than me. Then there's guy number 3 - my age - works a hard foreman job and makes good money - totally sweet funny handsome and i like him but i don't feel a spark anymore - he's my ex. I already fooled around with guy number 3 and now i feel like a piece of crap. Its not what I had in mind and now he's all in love with me and I'm still in love with my ex whom I just broke up with last week.
I'm not looking for love or a relationship but every guy I meet they charm and take care of me the way my ex never did and so I like the attention and compassion.

Perhaps give yourself time. Don't date anyone. Maybe that's all you need. It's understandable that you feel the way you do about your ex, but you also have to realize that a relationship like that isn't worth keeping. Sure, these other guys sound great, but if anything you should just worry about you and not anything or anyone else. It doesn't hurt to date around, and get to know others, but do remember to take it slowly. Rushing into a new relationship is never a good idea. If anything, worry about you. It'll take time to get over your ex, as it always does, especially with the time you were together. But in time you'll feel better. It isn't a bad thing that you still love him, hell, you may even love him for years to come, but you got out of the relationship for a reason. Just keep that in mind, and go on with your life. If you aren't ready for a committed relationship, take your time. There are many people out there. As for the age thing, remember, age is just a number. It doesn't matter how old they are, it matters how you feel about them.
