Hello!
So recently I wrote a story and I've posted it on a writing website, but now I'm regretting it because this is actually the first story I've written that I can say I am super confident and proud of. I'm wondering if I should take it down and finish it on my own time, then attempt to publish it? Would this work or should I leave it posted?

A tip from someone who also love writing-take it down!
This is for a few reasons. Firstly, you need to publish your work where people will give honest and most importantly expert feedback, when publishing work for the first few times.
So the people who give you feedback on this website may 'like' or 'not like' your work, but if they're not in a position to be able to say how you could improve then whats the point in asking these people?
My advice would be to enter genuine writing competitions, many times you get some sort of acknowledgment or feedback from them.
I'd just be careful that in these first few years publishing your work your constantly in touch with people who know the subject well. Afterall, you don't want to get upset about a comment of any writing website when in actual fact you're a better writer than they are!
