What do I get a guy friend for his birthday? What do I wear?

Okay so I'm going to my best guy friends sweet 16 birthday party this weekend. It's not a drink till you pass out party. It's a Bon fire with music and a lot of my other friends are going as well. I do like this kid...but I don't know how he feels about me, and I have a boyfriend but no one knows i like him. Anyways he says he just wants money but I kinda wanted to actually get him something. Some of my friends say that I should get him a movie or something simple cause guys love electronics and stuff. Is that a good idea? Or is there another option? I don't want to get him anything that flat out says "hey I like you" I want something more suttle and simple.
Also what should I wear to this occasion? I want to look good but like effortlessly good. And I don't want to just go in yogas and be a bum. How should I dress for this?!
As for your outfit, why don't you wear a coral shirt, that's what in and looks super cute on, with maybe white pants even though you're going to a Bon Fire. Might be better off actually wearing white shorts if that's something you would like. [ AMSxO's advice column | Ask AMSxO A Question ]
awesomeal16 answered Wednesday May 2 2012, 5:39 pm: Well, since it is a bonfire with music event.... How about getting him a cd from one of his favorite bands. Guys like music. SO find out what genre he likes or an artist/band he is into. He will appreciate it for sure, and everyone loves music :D ANd yes your idea is good too. Even perhaps a new video game because as you said guys love electronics. Now for your outfit... You don't want to over do it but you don't want to under do it. Your a girl... You know what I mean.. You could pull off a cute pair of jeans with a casual tee. And your favorite pair of shoes and you look great and yet your still relaxed. Since most bonfires are at night I suggest bringing a sweatshirt or a jacket of some sort. Since it will most likely be a little chilly. Hope I helped!
