Want to answer more questions in the Sexual Health and Reproduction category?
Maybe give some free advice about: Pregnancy?

dolphina answered Tuesday May 1 2012, 6:36 pm:
YES. Ovulation is the release of the oocyte (egg) from the ovaries to the uterus, via the fallopian tubes or uterine tubes, which ever you wanna call them. So, after ovulation the egg is released, where it matures and travels for a few days through the tubes, before finally reaching the uterus.

I hope that answered your question, if you have any more similar questions about the reproductive system/fertilization/etc, drop one by my inbox! I'm in college, pre-med, and am in Anatomy so I've got real answers, not "wikipedia" material haha:)
