What Does Light On Your Feet Mean?

Question Posted Saturday April 21 2012, 10:22 pm

My family and friends all tell me I am very light on my feet. But I know sometimes it means graceful but I am a former gymnast and now do ballet and am not too graceful yet. My friends all say that I jump like a gazelle. I am not too skinny because my bones are well built and I am pretty strong. Thanks!

I would say the following words are synonyms:
Elegant, quick, feathery, graceful, prancing, springy

Those are just the words that come to my mind when someone says "light on your feet." Hope it helped:)

It means quick and not weighed down. If you are a good jumper and a good runner, you are probably light on your feet.
