How can my friend develop social skills when shes very shy and wants to make more friends? Any advice welcome :)

Go to a bar and meet new people. If it goes badly..hey, you'll never see them again:) It's a good, relaxed environment to practice social skills

One thing is to join Facebook, a social website. Try finding out people's names that she wants to be friends with and have her friend request them.

She can also just say hello and smile. That lights up a person's day and then THEY will put it on. She can make a bunch of friends like that, too.
