Just add the two equations together. That will give y = 3
Put this value of y in any of the two equations then you will get the value of x

you just have to get y by itself.

so add -3x to both sides.
-3x+5y=3 becomes 5y=3x+3
then divide 5y to get y by itself.
5y=3x+3 becomes y=3/5x+3/5

& then just do the same with the second one.

the answer is y=-3/4x+8

you then probably have to graph these & see where the lines intersect. then you will get (x,y)
