He took a year out of uni, which is when i met him. He's 5 years older than me and i wont be going to uni until september 2013, but he will be going back this sep. I have gotten so close to him in such a short space of time, regardless of the age gap. Also, a couple of our friends will be coming back from uni for the summer but also leaving again in september.
I dont make friends very easily, so when these few friends (especially the one who's been home all year) leave in september, i am going to be alone. I get on with him so easily, we enjoy the same things etc. I love him so so much (but just as my friend). I dont know what i'm going to do when he leaves, and im scared im going to fall back into depression because i'll be alone.
What can i do? Asking him to stay is not an option, but making new friends is hard for me.
Additional info, added Monday April 9 2012, 3:15 pm: Forgot to mention that in the past when the friends that are currently at uni have gone back off after breaks (e.g. xmas!) we've still had each other so none of this affected me. It will affect me big time when he leaves!!!!!!. Want to answer more questions in the Relationships category? Maybe give some free advice about: Friendship? Delight answered Thursday April 12 2012, 2:42 am: Life goes on.. and you got to accept it. Let him go. You never know what the future might bring. Thinking that you are going to be depressed is itself pushing yourself into being depressed. If you are not too social and are not comfortable meeting new people, explore yourself and you will find something that will make you happy. If you like pets, then having a pet can be good company too.
A new morning always has new things coming your way.
Hope you feel better. [ Delight's advice column | Ask Delight A Question ]
