i think that distancing yourself will make him think you actually are falling for him and that would be awkward (guys know more than you think.) so you should try finding someone that likes you back u can even ask him to help you find a boyfriend! he is your best friend...

Hey there,
The best thing to do is to distance yourself from him for a while. It's only going to make things difficult by being around him 24/7 when you are still harboring feelings for him.
Keep busy to keep your mind off him. Hang out with friends listen to music bake go to the mall movies etc. If you find yourself starting to think about him do something to distract yourself. go call a friend or talk to your mom sister dad anyone.
Time is the key. It's a healer. As time goes on the more you train yourself not to think about him the easier it becomes and you slowly but surely start to move on. Before you know it you will have moved on. It's hard but you can do it. Resist the urge to snoop on his facebook or myspace or any other social networking site. It's only going to make things ten times worse.
Good luck and I hope this helps :)
