Acting/modeling Portfolio - Please help!

So, I love to model and act. I heard you have to send your portfolio into your agency. Well, how do I make a portfolio, exactly?
Please give me fully-detailed steps.

A portfolio is made from actual photos or print work you have appeared in. It's a collection of different looks and past projects.
If you have NEVER done professional modelling ever than you just need a few snap shots or 8*10s to showcasing how you look, different styles, and physical characteristics.
You DON'T I repeat DON'T need a professional portfolio or to purchase one through an agent of pictures as that's a scam. Starting out in acting or modelling only requires photos a digital camera could take.
If you get into this business call ACTRA (Canada) or SAG (U.S.) first and ask for a list of reputable agents. Only contact those people as anyone not on the list isn't for a reason and bad news to deal with.
