Is condom a reliable barrier if it did not break even if the guy cum inside and I am fertile at the time probably. Period 19 Feb contact 01 March. Average of 30 day or so cycle.
Other factors are there is no pre cum as the genitals were in contact thru a condom the entire time.
Plus used ECP 12 hours after intercourse.
And also, is age a factor? I am 36 now.
Having said all of the above - what else can go wrong?
Have read a comment from someone in yahoo that condom did not break and yet she is now 9 months pregnant.
At 36 it is still possible to fall pregnant but unlikely. As you get older your egg count isn't as good as it once was. The person that used a condom and fell pregnant got unlucky. Condoms are only 99% effective and even with that said there is always that 1%
If you are worried then I recommend you take a test, If it comes out negative then you should be fine. If you are still worried you could make an appointment with your OBGYN. I'm not going to beat around the bush but my mother went through menopause while in her late 30's. It's unusual but not impossible....Get it checked out. [ Xui's advice column | Ask Xui A Question ]
wittedpanda answered Wednesday March 7 2012, 1:15 am: Generally speaking, condoms are more than 99% effective. There is a chance that a condom will break, however small that chance may be, and if it doesn't, the chances of any semen leaking through are even closer to zero.
Depending on what chemical the ECP is, they generally tend to be around 80% effective at least.
Using both a condom and an ECP, the chances of a pregnancy are actually far below one ten-thousandth of a percent. I am almost certain this is not what is happening.
There are several other problems that can cause a woman to miss her period. These include certain infections, hormone imbalances, etc. I would suggest - if she shows any symptoms of pregnancy - buying a pregnancy test. If it comes out negative, she should see a doctor and find out what the true cause is. If it comes out positive, she should see a doctor to confirm this, as their tests are far more accurate. If she is pregnant, you simply have extremely bad luck. You weren't stupid; you used multiple forms of protection. But there is a very tiny chance that you may be a father.
Good luck with this, and I hope it is nothing too serious.
