Wheezing! Please Help!!

Question Posted Sunday February 26 2012, 5:25 pm

I had the flu almost two weeks ago and have been coughing ever since. I have wheezed a little but took my inhaler and it was better. Today it wasn't any worse but I took my inhaler and it seemed to get worse! Now everytime I breathe in I wheeze and cough. I am home alone so I can't go to the hospital. My throat feels like it is closed up. It has never been this bad! Please Help me! Is there any home remedies that could help while I wait for my familiy to come home? Thanks! :D

For flu, try "steaming" - you get a bowl of steaming hot salt water, put a towel over your head and ihale the steam to clear the tubes!
Also, eating lemons and chewing garlic is meant to help with the flu virus, but if you really cant breathe at all,(like, to a dangerous point) dont be afraid to call emergancy services on your own!
