My boyfriend and I have been together since the start of the year and things are going really well. The only problem is that I get very jealous of other girls. I get paranoid when he tells me about girls he knows, or if he finds other girls attractive, but my main issue is with his best friend. They have a history, and he has told me that he used to be in love with her. He has reassured me countless times that there is nothing but friendship between them now but for some reason I just cannot get over it. I've never met her as she doesn't live in the same city as us but she's coming to visit in a couple of weeks and I'm really worried. I plan on being nice and trying to make friends with her but I know I'm going to be paranoid the whole time she's here.
I really don't want to feel like this and I don't want to ruin things with my boyfriend. How can I be less jealous?

But My best advice is, if you want to be in and stay in a healthy relationship, I would do my best to act as an adult, which you are, and meet his bestfriend and treat her as nice as you would anyone else. Judging by the fact that he has a past with her, it makes me tend to believe it would upset him if you acted any other way, Old ties break hard. trust him/them till he/they give you a reason not to. dont be oblivious, but dont be jealous. If not, take his word that they are only friends. Communication is also very important to maintain a long, healthy relationship. But, remember they were bestfriends before yall met & most likely they'll be bestfriends when yall break up. So, try and switch it. think about if you were him, would you want your bf & bestfrenn to compete? [ nobleharrisgard's advice column | Ask nobleharrisgard A Question ]
