How to cure a headache? home remedy

Question Posted Sunday February 5 2012, 1:38 pm

Hi,

I have a MAJOR headache right now and I have to read this book for tomorrow, and I'm going over to a friend's house later, so I can't read there. I need to read 50 pages and it takes me about 1 minute to read a page if I'm very concentrated, which will be very hard for me now. I want to wait until I get at least a little bit better.

I want to know if anyone has a home remedy for headaches? Anything but pills, PLEASE. also, does it make it worse if you read while you have a headache? It's very hard for me to type this right now, but I had to give you all the details that you might need.

Anything you do, please don't tell me to drink pills because I don't like to swallow pills.

Thank You for answering in advance!

Remedies for headaches will vary on the cause of the headache. Some normal causes are lack of sleep, stress, allergies, getting sick, etc. Generally what I do to help with my headaches is to take pain killer (some brands have liquid medicine for kiddos or anybody who doesn't like taking pills) and sleep it off with a few hour nap. Make sure your environment around you is quiet and try to refrain from reading because that can make it soooo much more worse. Also, you could try taking a wash cloth and getting it damp with warm water and laying it on your forehead. I hope this helped and good luck :)
