How much should I be feeding my chickens every day?

Question Posted Wednesday January 25 2012, 8:40 pm

I have 4 hens and 2 roosters that I have raised from birth. They are healthy and mostly eat crumbles. I have also given seeds and scraps etc, but I haven't been able to find anything concrete about the "amount" of food. Any ideas?

Ask a farmer who has raised or raises chickens. They can help you and tell you how much to feed your chickens. If you have been feeding them a certain amount that seems tonwrk stick with that. it's better to be stuffed than empty though. If you can't find someone to help experiment but don't rapidly change their food diet around! Have fun raising those chickens :)
