I think adviceman is right on the money ..

" think the problem with your spouse is more easily overcome by having her in the bed room with you during the insemination than finding a male donor willing to donate. What I am suggesting would not be sex as it is meant. The two of you could be in bed having relations while the male is masturbating to a point just before climax. He then enters you and climaxes. Where upon he withdraws and leaves. Then you and your partner can enjoy the after glow. This would be more of a medical procedure than sex, but would still require intercourse with a male."

Just what i was going to say.

While there are stories of using a Turkey Baster to get pregnant. I believe they are more myth then reality.

While I understand your dilemma I think you and your girlfriend need to give serious thought as to how much you want a child. How much you both feel that child should be the product of at least one of you. Many states now allow for singles and Lesbian or gay couples to adopt. Would adoption satisfy your desire for a child?

Based on your answers if pregnancy is the only option you have only two choices for a successful insemination as I see it. The first is of course through artificial insemination with donor sperm. The benefit here is that both you and your partner get to chose the donor sperm. The second is of course through coitus. The drawbacks here are sexual intercourse with a willing male donor and a possible problem with your spouse.

It is a solution or rather a compromise. The definition of compromise is something no one likes but something everyone can live with. The difference with this solution from artificial insemination. Getting pregnant may require more than one insemination, can you put up with more than one insemination in the natural manner?
