chlamydia and pregnancy
im 16 weeks pregnant and my significant other told me he had slept with someone else and she might have had chlamydia. he slept with her a month ago. my doctor appointment is until the 18th and I had planned on asking to get tested. is it okay to wait this long or should I got somewhere else and get it done before then?

Call your OB/GYN's office. Tell them you may have been exposed to Chlamydia. Ask them if they want to move up your appointment.
This is the doctor who is caring for you during your pregnancy. He or she needs to know everything about you medical condition during your pregnancy. Going to another doctor for an STD test or STD treatment is not in the best interest of you or your baby as your doctor is then not fully aware of your total medical condition.
Call the doctors office; explain to them as you have to us. Let them decide if they need to see you sooner or if you can wait until the 18th.
