Me and my boyfriend have been dating for a little over a year but recently things have been going really bad... i have found out a lot of things he has lied to me about.. (nothing too serious like cheating(i hope), but enough to do damage, ex: drinking with girls hes done stuff with, & lying about dumb things) . I seriously love him with all my heart .. despite all hes done, i cant picture life without him, he is my everything. But he has no trust in me at all and swears that i cheat on him every chance i get when i really dont.. how do i show him that this relationship is serious to me and that i want nothing more but to make it work?

Sometimes when we do something instead of admitting it to ourselves and others we project it on to something else. You said he's lied about hanging out with girls that he has hooked up with. What else could he be lying about? If a guy is hanging out with girls from the past it makes me raise an eyebrow. Exes belong in the past you don't bring them to the future unless you are close friends or something. To drink with exes from the past sounds really fishy to me. He may have done something and instead of admitting it to you he's going to ask you if you have making you feel like you're doing something wrong. Don't let him do this to you. I know you love him but that is no way to treat a person you love. He doesn't deserve someone like you if he is going to treat you this way. I would sit him down and have a serious talk and get some answers and get the truth and if he can't than I would walk away if I were you. You can find someone much better who will treat you right and treat you with respect. Good luck and I hope everything works out! [ AdviceMistress's advice column | Ask AdviceMistress A Question ]
