letter of recommendation for a job... should I make one up?

Question Posted Wednesday November 2 2011, 10:47 am

for this job i applied to i need a letter of recommendation. i dont have anyone i can turn to to do this for me. i was thinking of just writing my own and signing it with a made up name. saying that it is my previous guidance counselor. will they check into that, and am i suppose to provide them with a way to contact this "guidance counselor"?

This isn't a good idea, because they will probably chase that up. They usually ask for a telephone number/e-mail address so they can check it out.

Best bet is to find a teacher/old teacher/anyone really to do it.
