Okay, so my mom just saw me publicly swear in a comment of a picture I was tagged in and now she's all up in my grill because I said the f word on Facebook. Aside from this, it's really annoying how all my family members are friends with me on Facebook. I seriously don't know what to do. I feel like I'm choking. I'm thinking about making a new account and just add family members there, but that'd be too obvious. What's the right thing to do?? Please help! I'd appreciate it big time.

You never know who's watching! My father always told me, 'If you don't want it seen, read, or repeated... don't write it down!' That's very old but very good advice in today's world where everything we say and do is recorded somewhere on the internet! You should be able to converse with others without swearing... especially in print. As much as you want that freedom, I suggest that you curb your behavior in public forums. Your family will thank you and someday, you'll be glad that you did. Everyone from college professors to future employers can view your FB... think about what you say on there BEFORE you say it!
