which career route is best?

Question Posted Tuesday October 25 2011, 9:31 pm

Stressing out over what to do the rest of my life..I am stuck between things along the lines of photographer, photojournalist, visual communications, advertising, art therapist, lab assistant, medical researcher, research pharmicist, and business starter.
What would be the most entertaining, long lasting, good paying, hands on, and short enough schooling job out of thoes? it doesnt need to be all of the qualities but generally any opinions as to which way to fall?

I am.. on the same boat you are on.. like no joke. I went from Photography, to Psych, back to Photography.. now I'm trying to figure out what to do myself.. I'm stuck between commerical photography, photojournalism, fashion, children..and art therapy. I decided that I am going to get my Associates in Photography. and then later on once I get my bachelors I am going to get my master's in art therapy when I'm about 28.

All of the schooling takes about the same, depends on the college and the program. Medical often takes a lot longer than art and business.

I discovered what I wanted to do by a book called Photographer's Market I think it's called..as well as Digital Photography: Best Practics and Workflow Handbook. it's basically a job guide of photography jobs, pay rate and etc.

If you need anything else feel free to inbox me :)

Art therapy does require schooling unfortunately a lot of art and psych classes. If you have AIM, IM me at lostraindroopx. :D
