Lasiks does not correct all vision problems. Before undergoing a Lasik procedure I would get a second opinion from a non-participation Opthamologist, meaning one that does not do Lasik procedures.
As to cost; I have seen the procedure advertised costing anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000. It is the type of surgery that can charge whatever the traffic and community will bear as it is generally not covered by insurance. Insurance will only cover this procedure if the problem is the result of a medical condition or an accident. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]
