last night I had a dream I was in a movie theater with my exboyfriend. all I saw was me and him and the lights on the wall but it was kind of dark. there was a black man in the room too, someone I don't know. and he and my ex seemed to have a lot of tension between eachother. I think the black man might have been a criminal, I'm not sure. then I remember me and the black man were outside in the hall and I gave him a dirty look because he was annoying me somehow and he grabed me by the shoulders and was yelled at me to spit in his face and was shaking me and I started to scream and cry. I got free and ran outside and then I saw an overview of a movie theater and police cars. I woke up and was scared kind of. then I went back to sleep and my dream continue. this time it was me and my ex and I asked why he didn't come out to help me. he said the black man's friends wouldn't let him but if he could have he wouldn't of let anything happen to me.

In my opinion, dreams don't usually mean anything, but when they do, it's because your subconscious has a message for you to notice. I would look at what's important here... how you felt about the black man and how you felt about the ex.
The black man might represent something that's frightening to you, however vague. The future? A relationship with someone or going to a certain place? You felt helpless in this situation and wanted someone (your ex, who couldn't come) to rescue you. My suggestion is to figure out what that situation represents and fix it, so you don't have to be scared anymore. You seem to have a need for people to be around so try and keep your friends a little closer whenever you feel anxious. :)
