Question Posted Wednesday September 14 2011, 10:15 pm

Thanks Zane. Here's the question you just answered for me. :)

[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

I know what you mean about abuse and everything but he doesnt abuse me.He only hits me when I do something stupid.I dont want you to think he's a bad boyfriend because he's not. He's just overprotective and stuff because he cares about me and everything. That's how it is with older guys, ya know? Besides, he said he was sorry when he thought I was gonna cry, he was drinking so that made him madder. (I guess I should've mentioned that earlier huh?) He never hits me when he's not drinking. He wouldn't hurt me.
He does make me happy Zane. He's my first boyfriend ever. I've had a crush on him for like 2 years and we just started dating a couple months ago. It's been awesome. :) It's just the name and the age thing. You did say it was legal right? I didnt really even think about it being legal or not. I was just wondering if it was weird or wrong ya know? Everyone makes it seem like it is. I thought it would only be illegal if we were having sex or something, right? (We're not. Im only 13 and Im not really interested. I like kissing and stuff but I dont wanna have sex.) And do you think the name thing is weird? Could you date a guy with your brother's name?

Sorry this was soo long but I didnt want you to think I was abused and I wanted to give you more info and ask more questions.

Thanks Zane! :D

No, I don't think the name thing is weird at all. Sometimes it just happens in weird ways! However, I think you may be slightly misunderstanding something..When a guy hits you that is abuse. If he hits you when he gets angry then yes, He is abusing you.

Let me explain something

I know exactly what it is like to be in a relationship with someone who hits their spouse, I was in one for 5 years. Ever single time I was told afterward that they were sorry and it wouldn't happen again. This is their way of manipulation, I have had to deal with it on countless occasions. Drinking is a poor excuse on his behalf nobody should ever lay on a hand on someone. I'm going to stop because I don't want you to feel I'm lecturing you I just don't want to see you hurt :( Please whatever you decide to do be careful.
